Poonam Pandey

Poonam Pandey, a Bollywood Actor, has passed away at the age of 32 following a diagnosis of Cervical Cancer:

Bollywood actor and model Poonam Pandey, aged 32, has passed away from cervical cancer, as announced in a social media statement that has left her fans in shock. On February 2, her team posted on Pandey's Instagram account, which boasts over 1.3 million followers, conveying the sorrowful news of her demise.

The post read, "This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness." Pandey's manager Nikita Sharma later confirmed the news in a statement to NDTV, expressing the industry's shock and mourning at the tragic loss.

Originally from Kanpur, India, Pandey made her Bollywood debut with the film "Nasha" in 2013 and subsequently moved to Mumbai, the entertainment capital of the country. Over her decade-long career, she appeared in films such as "Love is Poison," "Malini & Co," and "The Journey of Karma," while also establishing herself as a model and social media influencer.

In September 2020, Pandey married ad filmmaker Sam Bombay, but their relationship faced turbulence when she accused him of physical assault two months after their wedding. This led to Bombay's arrest in Goa, and Pandey was admitted to a hospital. Despite the domestic abuse case, the couple reconciled a week later, with Pandey stating that they were working through their issues and were "madly in love."

Pandey found herself in controversy during the early months of the pandemic when reports emerged that she had violated Covid lockdown protocols. She refuted the claims in a video on her Instagram, explaining that she was at home having a movie marathon and had not broken any lockdown rules. Initially reported by the Press Trust of India (PTI), Pandey and Bombay were allegedly booked by the Mumbai police for violating lockdown rules.

In 2022, the Supreme Court of India granted Pandey protection from arrest in connection to her involvement in a major porn film racketing case.
